It really is time to cut the crap. But don’t get me wrong. There are some great coaches out there. And to be fair, sometimes these expensive programs are worth the price! But when paired with the debt a high-priced course puts you in right up front, it can mean a lifetime of struggle to get above water, just to get back to where you started in the beginning.
And then, let’s say you DO invest. You suddenly discover there is an upsell. Another higher level mastermind to join. Another inside track just for you. Additional private coaching. There is always something more you need, more to buy, just to get the results you thought you had signed up for in the first place. Sounding familiar at all?
And their teaching? Once again, it is time to cut the crap. It often comes down to the art of the hustle. “Fake it ’til you make it,” they will say. Consume more, buy more, display the trappings of success, even before you have begun to find it yourself. “It will come,” they say. They do not mention it may be at the expense of your health, sanity or family!
Their teachings often include unethical or unproven methods. Some will even suggest skirting, or actually going over, the ethical line. Many do not have the years or decades of business experience they elude to. They cannot back up their teaching. And their clients rarely get the results that were promised.
Along the way, you find many, if not most, of these so-called experts have only been around for a very short time. Their 6-figure launches, million dollar paychecks, pictures of big homes and fast cars, are just so much digital flim-flam. Though they may even mean well, it does not work out well in the end for you. And that is what really matters.
So finally, after you have completed their high-priced program, and returned to the real world, you discover there is still so much for you to learn in order to succeed. Success, you realize, is a journey, not a destination. Not the result of a single program. And so it goes; you have to invest in another high-priced program, and then another, and… Is that what you thought you were signing up for? Of course not! So, let’s cut the crap!
