Energy Boosters

Changing Habits for Peak Living

My friend and fellow coach, Gerald Alexander, writes daily blog posts that provide great tips, and deeper concepts on living a life of health, wealth, and happiness. Today’s post, The Energy Equation, offered nothing less. What stood out for me was a list of five energy boosters—simple practices that can elevate our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Five Elements Energy Boosts

We often overlook the fundamentals when life gets busy. Yet, it is the small, intentional choices that determine whether we are simply surviving… or truly thriving. These five energy boosters are powerful reminders of what we can do—starting today—to reclaim our energy and move toward peak living.

📌 1. Spend Time in Nature and Sunlight

We are designed to live in harmony with the natural world. Fresh air, the warmth of the sun, the sound of leaves rustling—these are not luxuries; they are necessities. Stepping outside, even for a few minutes, helps regulate our circadian rhythm, supports vitamin D production, and grounds our nervous system. Whether it is a walk in the park or coffee on the porch, make it a habit.

📌 2. Listen to Uplifting Music or Sound Healing

Sound has the power to lift our spirits or drag us down. Choosing music that inspires, soothes, or energizes can transform a moment—or a whole day. From gentle instrumental tracks to healing frequencies, or your favorite sing-along anthem, sound is energy. Use it to realign and recharge.

📌 3. Take Breaks and Power Naps During the Day

Productivity is not about pushing harder—it is about managing your energy wisely. Short breaks, especially when you step away from screens, allow your mind to reset. A 15–20 minute power nap can work wonders for mental clarity and focus. Rest is not a reward. It is a resource.

📌 4. Laugh Often and Surround Yourself with Positive People

Laughter is a direct line to vitality. It releases endorphins, lowers stress hormones, and creates connection. Choose to be around those who uplift you. Even a short conversation with someone who shares your values and joy can restore your energy and perspective.

📌 5. Practice Forgiveness and Let Go of Past Baggage

Emotional weight is just as draining as physical fatigue. Carrying unresolved resentment, regret, or guilt saps your energy at the soul level. Forgiveness is not about excusing the past—it is about freeing yourself to live fully in the present. Letting go is not weakness; it is wisdom.

Each of these practices is both accessible and transformative. You do not need a complete lifestyle overhaul. Start with one. Add another. Build momentum. Energy flows where intention goes—and peak living begins with that very first choice.
